I enjoy taking my pontoon boat through this section because of how overgrown it becomes during mid summer. I tried to capture the depth and intensity of the dark colors and shapes that contrast with the sparkling light that emerges from breaks in the trees. The shadows and reflections upon the water create interesting patterns. Wherever an opening occurs in the overhanging trees and bushes, the rays of light reflect off the water, breaking up some reflections and highlighting others.

While fishing this section, I know from experience that trout wait for insects to drop off the leaves, and my fly can be really effective if I set it gently upon the water under the tree limbs. Fly casting can be challenging since there are so many places for the fly to get hung up on the trees and bushes.
